Bowhead Specialty CEO Stephen Sills and NFP CEO Doug Hammond were two of the top industry executives receiving awards at the Insurance Insider US Honors ceremony on September 19 at 583 Park Avenue in New York.
The Insurance Insider US Honors awards celebrate outstanding achievement and exceptional talent from the US wholesale, specialty and (re)insurance markets, with awards in 31 categories handed out after judges parsed more than 120 entries.
Sills received the prestigious Insurance CEO of the Year for his achievement in taking Bowhead public less than five years after launch, while Hammond was named Broking CEO of the Year for his work in the NFP-Aon transaction.
Sills said his award reflected not his own achievements, but the ongoing work of his Bowhead teammates in taking the carrier “from a start-up to the New York Stock Exchange”.
In company categories, Beazley took home the (Re)Insurer of the Year award, while Acrisure was named Retail Broker of the Year, and RT Specialty took home the award for Wholesale Broker of the Year.
This year’s honors ceremony included over 500 attendees, gathered to celebrate the industry’s finest talent.
